MORE ABOUT NEIL
Neil Thomas Douglas describes himself as a “Bearded composition and light obsessed ninja who can normally be found roaming the highlands of Scotland.”

For over a decade, he has been shooting weddings and elopements in his native Scotland and beyond. He is best known for his epic couple portraits out in stunning landscapes but he is equally at home, shooting in cityscapes.

Neil is a regular mentor at Photography Farm as he speaks passionately about the craft of photography. We never spend time with him without learning something new. Also, he has the BEST stories – things that happen around Neil just don’t happen to anyone else.

When not shooting, you will find him on a tennis court or having a quiet pint at Duke’s in Glasgow’s West End with his furry companion, Juno.

MORE ABOUT SEAN
Born in Scotland under a wandering star, I spent a lot of my childhood daydreaming, drawing, looking up at the night sky and playing music. I studied film and photography in Edinburgh and began my career as a junior photographer on local newspaper shooting arty pictures of wheelie bins and parking attendants. After this baptism of fire I worked for a press picture agency and this work took me on editorial assignments to the US, Russia and some not so glamorous parts of Scandinavia.

I reluctantly shot my first wedding to pay for a new guitar amp and to my surprise, enjoyed it, I never looked back. I love the quiet, minimalist moments but also love the ruckus of a party. My biggest achievement? To still be in business after all these years, to have weathered the storms, made people happy with the work I have given them and to still be stupidly fucking excited about my craft and its potential to connect people – to be open to evolution as a creative, to be open to listening and learning and questioning. Not being a dick (most of the time)

MORE ABOUT REBECCCA
Rebecca Carpenter made an entrance onto the wedding scene in 2017, with her first ever wedding making the cover of Your London Wedding. Since then, her editorial shooting style coupled with her fun, bubbly personality have seen her become a much-loved and respected member of the wedding community. Her Instagram following grew exponentially during lockdown, as her honest and open approach to the platform struck a chord with thousands of photographers and wedding industry professionals all sharing the most challenging year of business ever!

She runs several portfolio-building workshops throughout the year, with her Santorini and Mykonos destination workshops in partnership with Valentina from The Stars Inside the most notable (and the most shared!)

Unfortunately, as with many photographers, Rebecca’s business was hit by lockdown and she was forced to branch out from a purely photography-based business. Now, through online courses and 1-1 mentoring sessions, she has established herself as an educator of fellow photographers and small business owners. With several online courses available and many more coming within the next few months, Rebecca Carpenter Education will be one to watch in the future.

Rebecca lives in Kent with her husband Jon, and their daughter Winnie. She loves carbs, cuddles, and Coke Zero.

MORE ABOUT SAM
Starting as a political news and celebrity portrait photographer in DC, Sam was instantly drawn to wedding photography as a space to promote more inventive ideas. Sam’s focus is on photographic techniques that are deceptively simple, but have potential to transform difficult or uninspiring shooting environments into one of a kind opportunities for every photo made.

He is a highly creative maverick in this industry who values trust from his clients above any other attributes. For him “This trust drives me to find the perfect balance between creative experimentation and honest documentation.”

He has taught at Farm a few times now and always amazes us with his ability to produce outstanding images in any environment.
