We’ve been teaching workshops for quite a while now and we always notice that there will be a few folk at each class who struggle with the settings on their cameras or some of the basics of reading light. So we got to thinking, are people just afraid to admit that they might not know some of this stuff? What about you? Are you self taught or just never got around to figuring out everything that your camera is capable of?

Adam and I are both very experienced photographers but also believe that there are new things to learn and that nobody ever knows it all. However we can certainly help with a lot of it and so Farm Mechanics was born. We like to think of it as Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Shooting But Were Afraid to Ask.

So what are we covering? Memory cards, image management and storage, shooting and focusing modes, syncing cameras, reading light, looking after your kit, customising your camera and some of the fun things that you might not know that your camera can do yet.

As we always say though The Barn is your resource and by all means drop us a line if you want us to cover anything else for you.. we won’t tell anyone 🙂
