Last month I had the pleasure of heading back up to bonnie Scotland for another one of our Shoot Days. This time, we were joined by the lovely Claire Fleck at the amazing Cambo House Country Estate, with styling by our favourites – GLOAM. The theme this time around was TAPESTRY – we tapped into Cambo House’s hedonistic, party-house history for an opulent, decadent and eccentric theme that celebrated the incredible history the place has to offer.
For starters, Cambo House was built solely for a weekend party-pad, and the original house was destroyed by a fire when the servants had a raucous party when the family were away. Now, it’s owned by Sir Peter and Lady Catherine Erskine who want to maintain its hedonistic intention by letting it out for weekend long weddings.
We had two main set-ups for this shoot, which meant that our small, socially distanced groups actually didn’t actually cross paths all day, which was a rarity. I’ve been particularly excited to see our attendees images from this day – I always find it fascinating to see what another photographer does with a scene.
Firstly, we had gorgeous model Melissa wearing Sassi Holford in a luxurious, velvet draped set up suitable for any mansion house soiree. Blousson sleeves paired with dramatic drapery made for elegant, bourgeoise styling fit for a mansion house soiree. We then moved into the courtyard, putting Melissa in a sequin cocktail dress in full daylight with un-done gypsophila in her beautiful curls for party the day after the night before vibes,
Below are a selection of Lisa’s images from this set of the day. I shot so much I’ve decided to split the day across two posts – you really do get a lot of bang for your buck at a Photography Farm shoot day. You can view my images from the second set up next week.
