PORTFOLIO DAY: Sunset Studios, London
PORTFOLIO DAY: Sunset Studios, London – Tulle & Feathers
As soon as we started talking about hosting a Portfolio Day in a photographic studio, I knew that I wanted to book this model couple. Raquel and Isabelle are incredibly comfortable in front of the camera so I knew they’d be able to handle being photographed by multiple photographers. They are also deeply in love so my idea was to merge a couple photoshoot with a studio editorial. One of my favourite engagement sessions was in a studio and I love merging the two genres of photography that I work on most – couples and editorials.
At Photography Farm, we believe in the power of hands-on experience and the magic that happens when creative minds come together. Our Portfolio Days, like the recent one at Sunset Studios themed around Tulle and Feathers, are designed to provide photographers with the chance to elevate their craft as well as their portfolio. Here’s why we pour our hearts into organizing these unique events:
“One of the best styled shoot experiences so far! Gorgeous settings, professional models, great organisation and opportunity to make new photog friends! Good vibes only!” Rita Ozenberga
Why Portfolio Days?
1. Skill Enhancement in a Real-World Setting
Photographers often thrive when they can practice in real-world scenarios. Our Portfolio Days offer meticulously crafted sets and themes that mirror the demands and creativity of editorial shoots. This isn’t just a chance to take pretty pictures- it’s an opportunity to refine skills in directing, composition, and lighting.
2. Curated Creativity
Each Portfolio Day is built around a specific themes, this part was Tulle and Feathers. These themes are chosen to inspire and challenge photographers to think outside the box, pushing the boundaries of their creativity. By working within these imaginative frameworks, photographers can explore new styles and techniques that they can bring into their own work.
3. Exclusive Content and Experience
Each Portfolio Day is an exclusive experience. With small groups and solo directing time, photographers receive the attention and space they need to experiment and perfect their shots. Photography can sometimes feel like a solitary pursuit, but it doesn’t have to be. Our events foster a supportive and collaborative community where photographers can network, share ideas, and build lasting professional relationships. The connections made during these days can lead to future collaborations and opportunities, enriching everyone involved.
4. Building a Standout Portfolio
In a competitive market, a standout portfolio is crucial. Our Portfolio Days are designed to help photographers create diverse and striking images that set them apart. By providing access to high-quality models, professional styling, and unique themes, we ensure that participants leave with images that truly shine.
