When it comes to our styled shoots as part of the residential Photography Farm workshops, we really could do just about anything. Now that is pretty thrilling but also terrifying, where do you start? Well for me, it's usually with the models. This time we had the very lovely and gorgeous Shannon and Jack. You may recognise them from Farm Week where they also modelled for Brooke and Tavis. Ever since I met them, I had been thinking about getting them back for a full on creative shoot. I love their look and as you may have spotted at Farm we often embrace our dark gothic sides. I have a 1927 copy of Bram Stoker's Dracula and I reread that for inspiration as well as Jack White's version of Love is Blindness.

I knew from that start that I wanted this shoot to be all about the dress (this one is by the very talented Couture Company) and the florals. So we welcomed Helen and Lucie from Church Lane Flowers to the Farm family along with their incredible skills. I also knew I wanted to collaborate with a film maker to make the narrative come to life. Please watch before you look at the images and you will see why I'm so very glad that Long Haul Films could join us on the shoot. Also thanks to our awesome MUA Elbie who never fails to just 'get it' with our ideas. Huge thanks to Shannon and Jack, all our new Farmers and also Lisa Jane for helping at Farm.
