Right now, I’m knee deep in planning our upcoming Shoot Day in Scotland next month. I was chatting to Neil Thomas Douglas who is not only leading a group but who has helped me put the whole thing together as it’s his neck of the woods. Anyway, he said he’d be up at the venue on Sunday shooting so I said ‘Shoot Me and Image of The Week please!’ And just like that he did. I keep thinking we’ve seen the best that Glencoe has to offer but it seems that there is plenty more to uncover and that’s why our Shoot Day has group leaders who know the area and well and of course why booking one of these guys to shoot you is so valuable. Neil’s couple are based in the US and wanted to elope in Scotland. I love how rich the landscape looks in this shot and how reflective the water is, it’s a very inspiring image and now I’m super excited for Shoot Day.

Read Neil’s take on this shot below …

What Neil says ...

“Charyle & Josh eloped from the USA and picked the magical Glencoe Lochan for their ceremony location.  It’s a damned loch which means that you get the stillness and with it the beautiful reflection.  During the ceremony I couldn’t quite frame the couple in the reflection the way I wanted so I did a setup shot afterwards.  I kept the colours vibrant is post production as I loved Charyle’s red hair against the landscape.”
