The best wedding photos say something about the couple, the day, the location, the photographer and the energy. Like this shot from the very brilliant Neil Thomas Douglas. It’s one of those simple concepts that is executed extremely well. There is a surreal element to this which reminds me of Rodney Smith images. But also the composition, the pose, the exposure are all utterly perfect so that it’s the whimsy of the veil dancing about like a cloud that takes our full attention. “Joanna & Brian really didn’t want any intimate shots of them as it’s not their jam. People joked through the day about Brian hating getting his photo taken so I thought I’d have some fun with the veil.  The wind was blowing right to left so my second shot brought the veil over them and ran out of the frame. I just had to get my composition spot on and the wind did the rest.”
