For the second time a film wins this week. Hannah Millard is one of the farmers that has been incorporating filming with her DSLR into her work and also her personal life. Well this past week, she made a person and she made a little film. Talking to the amazing Brooke Davis about the content for her class at the upcoming Farm Week on how she shoots Family Sessions, really got me to thinking about family photography. Brooke doesn’t want to take a posed picture, she wants to take a real picture, that captures the emotions of family. I have two extraordinary little girls but eeek, they are so fiesty. This morning the little one kicked off and pretty much screamed the whole way to school, she then refused to go in. By the time I sat down at my desk, I was already totally stressed out. Then Hannah’s film came up in my Facebook feed and watching it reminded me so much of my own little one’s start in life… and I wish I had a gorgeous film like this that recorded it. This really tugs at the heart and is real family.. this is what our DSLRs were made for. Hannah…. many congratulations on the birth of little May, she is perfection and all of us at The Farm feel she is our very own. She was already on her way when her Mummy and Daddy modeled for us at the Jemima and Mr Fox shoot. We all wish her the very best that life has to offer, she is already a star…
