What is with the crazy weather this summer? I'm looking out at torrential rain while editing a wedding from a few days ago that was the hottest day of the year. As if our job isn't hard enough or unpredictable enough. So my hat goes off to anyone pulling off outstanding shots in these conditions. This week there were a few contenders for this but in the end, I've gone for this beautiful shot from Brideen and Deci over at Simple Tapestry.

It's all too easy to rush on a wedding day, to panic shoot and to make mistakes, especially if the circumstances are stressful for any reason. But this image is a lesson in slowing down, taking care and shooting with attention to composition, emotion and the setting. The result is the embodiment of elegance and one incredible wedding image. If you are shooting this weekend, I hope the weather is kind to you.
